The Sound of Violence is the sixth episode of the eighteenth season of Family Guy, and the seventh Halloween special. It's the 432nd episode, overall.

Synopsis[]

An unnaturally happy rich guy named Dearil Manteufel holds a big Halloween celebration in his mansion, but it later turns out that he's a cult follower, leading everyone to kill themselves.

Plot[]

The episode begins with a cold opening, taking place in a dark alley way a few months before October, with a Peter-silhouette figure talking to another silhouette figure about hiring them for a certain plan they have for him, as he heard good comments about him. The silhouette figure goes through with it, but asks who he is, with the Peter-silhouette figure revealing to be Peter's evil twin Retep.

When the actual episode starts, it's set on October 24th, a week before Halloween and the residents of Quahog are getting into the Halloween spirit and planning to host the annual Halloween party that Mayor Adam West always threw at Halloween season (though with him dead, Carol's planning to host it). That is until a rich guy comes to the neighborhood announcing his recent moving to Quahog and how he's throwing a big Halloween party at his mansion at Halloween. With everyone being invited to come, not even needing a invite.

While most of the residents take the invite and move their Halloween plans to his mansion, some citizens like Jerome and Buck reject the invite over the feeling of a suspicious activity. Their feelings are brushed as just not up for a fun time. At Halloween, a majority of the citizens head over to the mansion and have a great old time, dancing and enjoying the refreshments, but upstairs, Retep is shown surveilling the party, making sure everything goes to plan. And who walks in is revealed to be Dearil, as he comes to check in on Retep and get a hearing of the plan. With Retep planning that at 9 PM sharp, he'll poison the punch at the right time and a few minutes after would call for a toast, which will require everyone to get a drink and take the poison unknowingly, killing everyone in a swift strike.

[At Dearil's mansion party]
Brian: Hey Peter, nice costume!
Peter: Thanks Brian! With all the ghosts and monsters, Ghostbuster is perfect!
Brian: There sure is a lot. Meg told me she'll be a ghost too. [points to a person with the Meg beanie hat in a Charlie Brown-looking ghost costume] Look, there she is now!
Peter: Oh boy! Check this out, it will be freakin' funny!
[Peter goes up to "Meg" and shoves her head up his ass and farts on it, causing her to scream]
Peter: Gney! Hey! Hey! I've just gazed a ghost! Sweet!
Meg: [offscreen] Dad! Brian! I looked all over for you.
[Meg and her boyfriend Anthony, who are both with white makeup, walk up to the two]
Meg: What do you think about our ghost costumes? Not bad, right?
Peter: Wait, Meg if that's your ghost costume, then who..?
[The teenager Peter farted on points to Peter crying]
Teenager: That's the one, Daddy!
Father: WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA OF FARTING ON MY DAUGHTER, YOU FAT ASSHOLE?!
[The father kicks the shit out of Peter]
