Synopsis[]
The weird and wonderfully warped Family Guy is back for its hilarious final encore! So, what's new for the Griffin family? Well, Peter's got a new job as a fisherman, Brian goes on an unintentional foray into directing porn, Lois gets both Yuletide and Kleptomania insanity, Stewie ventures into a pyramid scheme business, and Meg dates a nudist. And the family's shocked to discover that Chris is more "endowed" than Peter is.

- Mr. Weed is killed off the series in the episode "Mr. Saturday Knight".
- Following the death of Mr. Weed, Peter Griffin loses his job at The Happy-Go-Lucky Toy Factory and finds a new job as a fisherman, working for the S.S. More Powerful Than Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, and the Incredible Hulk Put Together.
- Brian begins his author career in "A Cheater Runs Through It"

- Starting with this season, two things change:
- Stewie's line "Laugh and cry" in the Theme Song has been rerecorded due to it commonly been mistaken as "effin' cry", and to make the "l" more audible
- The showrunners of the series begin to change. With David Zuckerman (who showran the show with Seth MacFarlane since the beginning) giving his showrunner role to Dan Palladino for the last two thirds of the season.
- First season to air entirely within the 3rd millennium, going from 2000-2001.
- This is the final season of a few things:
- The final season where Peter works at the toy factory.
- The final season of Family Guy’s first run before its first cancellation.
