Synopsis[]
Peter gets into the NFT business and sells Chris’ art as NFTs behind his back under "Christobel".
Plot[]
While at the Clam, Joe treats the Beer Bar Buddies to drinks due to recently him making good money off flipping NFTs. From learning about the rage of NFTs from the others and all the money he can make from them, Peter decides to get into the NFT game. His first NFTs get little to no reward back, with him almost having his computer set on fire for almost no money back in return. However, when seeing people post art as NFTs and see how much money those make, he has a bright idea: use Chris' art to make money. As after all, his son's an artist and has shown to make a semi-successful career from it despite being fifteen.
Peter tries to pitch the idea to Chris, who angrily rejects the idea due to his disliking of NFTs and thinking they're stupid. And also him not needing to use them to make money since he does commissions and makes money off that. Peter, being stubborn doesn't take his rejection for an answer and decides to go in his room at night and screenshot his art to make them into NFTs behind Chris' back, and makes tons of money from them due to him selling them under Chris' art brand name Christobel.
While at first Chris is blind to the NFT scheme his father's pulling, he finds out when his girlfriend Anna shows him the NFTs, much to his anger. Chris gets into an argument with his father about him going behind his back to sell his art despite him not condensing to it and begins to take security measures with Stewie's help to keep Peter away from his artwork. Peter shrugs off his son being mad at him and rather than be sad he just disappointed his son, he's sad that now he can't sell more original art as NFTs. However he finds a workaround when he finds out he can flip NFTs on other sites and continue making money. Unfortunately, Peter gets such an ego from it that he sells the NFTs on a dodgy site, and has all of the NFTs he had stolen.
Humiliated, Peter tells Chris about what he done and attempts to apologize to Chris, but ends up blaming Chris for everything and himself for expecting too much of him. Realizing that this is going to be as good an "apology" as it would get, Chris brutally tells Peter that he sucks and shoves him out his bedroom.
