Elle Joanna Hitler is a librarian at the Quahog Library who frequently is seen telling lame jokes and cheesy puns and heartily laughing at them with the stereotypical "middle-aged woman laugh" we're all familiar with, complete with her wheezing through her mouth when she does it. She is still single and desperately looking for a man but remains optimistic and delightful. Stewie absolutely adores her just for this very reason. She first appeared in "Petergeist". She is voiced by Alex Borstein".

Biography

In "Petergeist", Peter went to the Quahog Library to look for a book on how to get rid of ghosts. Joanna worked as the library and joked that if he wants to get rid of some ghosts, he should try telling them he's ready for a commitment, joking about being single. Stewie found this joke hilarious and immediately loved her. Joanna then gave Peter a book and finally shut up.

In "Brian Goes Back to College", Joanna worked at the college library and Brian bought some books from her. Joanna told some more funny jokes and Stewie thought they were all hilarious but Brian was unamused.

In "Movin' Out (Brian's Song)", Stewie introduced Brian to Joanna at a party and she made a pun about a waffle not being able to make up its mind. Naturally, Stewie was amused and Brian couldn't care less. Stewie asked Joanna how she could still be single with a sense of humor like that.

In "Peterotica", Joanna sold Peter's erotic books at the Quahog Library and made a bunch of cheesy sex puns.

In "Cat Fight", Joanna drank coffee at Quagmire's cat cafe, The Barista Cats and became good friends with Bruce.

In "Short Cuts", Joanna bought a Spanish birthday card at Goldman's Pharmacy for her friend, who didn't speak Spanish as a joke. Stewie thought this joke was absolutely amusing. When Mort announced that Brian bought extra small condoms over the intercom, Joanna laughed her head off, having heard this.

In "Coma Guy", Peter looked for the book 1984 but Joanna misunderstood what he was asking and found him the music CD of the same name.

In "There's a New Mayor in Town", Joanna (now named Elle Hitler), had her first major role, when she ran for mayor of Quahog in lieu of Mayor Adam West's passing. She wanted to solve problems such as the sinkholes in the road and the collapsed bridges. Peter tried to help her win the election by sabotaging Wild West's career with her. However, he made the retarded mistake of lighting her library on fire while she was still in it and trying to blame it on Wild West. Elle screamed and yelled for help and Wild West came in and saved her from the fire, despite her being his opponent because it was the right thing to do. Peter's plan failed and Wild only became more popular with voters because of this. When Elle lost the election to Wild West, she didn't even get mad. She just kindly shook hands with him and congratulated him for his victory.

In "The Munchurian Candidate" and "Fattest in the West", Elle was seen with the Coffee Shop Girls as a semi-new fourth member of sorts to replace their previous fourth member Kimi's departure. While Lois and Bonnie act like she was always part of the crew, Donna was the only one, to ask who was she and why is she in their friend circle (which is kinda a true reaction as she didn't have an episode where she became part of the friend group like Joe, but whatcanyado).
