Plot[]

The Griffins, Swansons and Browns head to Meg's high school for the Valentine's Day Dance being held there, with Peter, Joe and Cleveland signing up as chaperones. There, Meg runs into Neil, who gives her an ask for a dance on the floor but Meg rejects him, saying she already has Kevin as her boyfriend, which Neil cause this bluff with a scoop he got. To "prove" his bluff is false, she goes to ask Kevin to dance with her, only for Kevin to ignore her in favor of dork dance with Chris and Cleveland Jr. Leaving Meg to be mocked by Connie and slump in the row of dateless losers. And yet when Neil asks her to dance again, she still rejects him. While that's happening, and the other Griffins are off doing their own things, Peter notices his old middle school teacher Randall Fargus at the dance and the two decide to dance like they did in the day. However, Randall becomes self-conscious about him being alone during the dance when he sees Peter, Joe, Cleveland and everyone else dancing with a love partner, and leaves out. When Peter goes to check on him a few days later, Randall vents his sadness of being alone. To make him feel better, Peter suggests Randall get himself in the love game and helps shape him up to take on the love world.

Peter takes Randall to multiple bars, restaurants and pool to get a girl to fall for him. But most attempts to get a lover end in mostly failure. Due to his social awkwardness, his reputation as a nutjob, or sometimes both. After multiple failed attempts, Peter decides to show his, Cleveland and Joe's relationships with their wives to get an idea of love. It does however, give Randall the idea to make a love potion based on their positive interactions to make someone love him after Peter jokes about that being the only way to get love. While Randall's struggling, he's the only one to struggle. As Meg is continuing to try to get Kevin to notice her, yet all her attempts fall under deaf ears thanks to Chris and Junior ruining the moods. And each time, Neil tries to persuade Meg to give him a chance, and she repeatedly tells him no.

After Randall makes the potion, he decides to use it on a woman to make her fall in love with him, to which its successful. Afterwards, Fargus carelessly dumps the toxic chemicals away and the toxic chemicals get released into the air and it causes everyone in Quahog to act funny and start falling in love with each other. Peter, Cleveland, and Joe to fall in love with Bonnie, Lois, and Loretta, respectively, Mort and Quagmire fall in love with Lana and Muriel, and even a few gay relationships (Mr. Weed with Change for a Buck and Mayor Adam West with Bruce Straightman for example) to be born. When Neil sees this madness going on, he goes to the Griffin house to see if Meg would have fallen in love to him. And to his surprise, she did! But the same chemicals also make Meg fall out of love with Neil and attract to Kevin like before, except now Kevin actually likes her back and the two become an official couple. Leaving Neil to be jealous as the only person in town not to be paired up with anyone, he tries to put a stop to it with the help of Stewie and Brian, but they’ve also been affected by the magic and are now in a very bad relationship, where they argue like an old married couple. Meanwhile, Randall begins to date his new woman and is able to personally see what happened to Quahog thanks to his own unintentional selfish action. And feeling remorse, and also realizing the woman he chose is not for him, he decides to reverse it to return things to normal. And as he reverses it, he also removes everyone’s memories of the day. Which everyone doesn’t mind.

Around the end, Peter and Fargus talk again about love and Fargus said he learned a lesson about dating, and plans to take things nice and slow. As he says this, he backs up while not looking and bumps into a women named Eliza, who looks more up his ally. Feeling more confident about dating, he decides to date her and the two walk off. With Peter waving Fargus good luck.

Quotes[]

Neil: You know, Meg, if you need a dance buddy, I'm open.
Meg: Back off, Neil. I'm already with Kevin.
Neil: Really? 'Cause I got a big scoop you two aren't dating. In fact, he doesn't even know your name!

[Peter and Randall are talking at the latter's classroom]
Randall: I mean, I've got a very comfortable life. I live in an okay apartment and recently got a friend that was originally one of my students. All my needs are met. It's just that, maybe this isn't where I thought I was gonna be at ninety-six years old. I always thought when I was growing up I would meet a sweet lady and be married to her, and by this point we'd get old and weird. But look at me. I'm old, alone, no relationships took off and I'm still working in the same job and living in the same apartment I've been in since I was thirty-six! The only woman I've gotten somewhat close with is Lana Lockhart. Even then, its due to us being in the same building and I'm old enough to be her grandpa!

Peter: Aww, cheer up, Fargy. I don't think you'll be alone.
Randall: [stops crying] You think so?
Peter: I'm sure of it. After all, they say love can find you in mysterious ways.
[As bag of nickels gets thrown into Peter's crotch and puts him to the ground in pain.]
Randall: Can love come like that?
Peter: (in pain) Sorta.

[After their song]
Randall Fargus: Alright! Let's find me a lady!
Peter: We sure will buddy! Right after these commercials!
Randall Fargus: Aww, really?
Peter: Yeah, the song number took a little longer than I thought.

[Randall comes up to a lady at a restaurant booth]
Randall Fargus: Hey there, pookie. Uh, got the time?
[The lady dashes out, much to Randall's annoyance]
Randall Fargus: IT'S 12:30!!
