Parks and Recreation, often abbreviated to Parks and Rec is an American television sitcom that aired on NBC from April 9, 2009 to February 24, 2015. The series starred Amy Poehler. Other cast members included Rashida Jones, Paul Schneider, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe, Jim O'Heir, Retta, and Billy Eichner.
In "Pal Stewie", Peter is stopped from launching a cutaway gag by Tony Robbins who insists on helping Peter become self-empowered. Peter refuses to listen, and launches the cutaway of himself and the cast of Parks and Recreation as a multi-headed superhero without any setup.
The title of the Season 22 premiere "Fathers and Recreation" is a play on the TV show's title.
