When Peter accidentally swallows his phone in "Brian Does Hollywood", a telemarketing woman calls Peter to know if his satisfied with his phone service. Peter goes angry and requires talking to the supervisor. Barry Manilow's song "Looks Like We've Made It" plays as the call is connecting to the supervisor. Peter, Quagmire, Cleveland, and Joe went to a concert of his in "Back to the Woods" after a failed attempt to hide their feelings about his music when they heard about the concert during a news broadcast. They begin singing "Ready to Take a Chance Again", which transitions into Manilow singing the song in concert. He altered his 1974 song "Mandy" into "Quagmire", serenading Glenn with improvised lyrics. In this episode, Barry Manilow is voiced by his real-life self.

In "Ocean's Three and a Half", "Mandy" was among the songs mentioned by Brian as a song named after a girl.

In "Blue Harvest", while planning the attack on the Death Star, Judd Nelson jokingly asks if Manilow knows if a character raids his wardrobe.
