Ali Williams is an ancestor of Ollie Williams and a former slave. He is one of the few slaves of his group to marry another black woman, passing down African traits to Ollie. When Uncle Tom does a report on the boat to America, and cued Ali on stage, he is seen locked in chains with his group and shouting, “I SAW A FISH!”
